Hey guys I just wanna add a quick update. I'm really excited to see the increasing involvement from other people. I think this will be able to get done a lot better with more support from everyone.

That said I apologize I was not online yesterday at all on Friday US time. I had work and I was also super worn out from staying up all night on Wednesday and it finally hit me. I think I slept like 17 hours out of 24. I'll be online a lot more later today. I want to get an IRC going too. If someone wants to create it I'll put it in OP.

I'm posting the nodes in the OP for now.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/459085124197658/

Here is a link for my little cryptoclub, the people there seem pretty positive on Darkcash now that it has a chance. Feel free to join and update/advertise about Darkcash if you like. Around 2700 people involved in cryptos there. (I made a post about it)

"For one of the safer bets on Bittrex, check out Darkcash! Yes, you heard me! Just another Anon coin dropped by the dev, but with one of the best names in a long time. As the loser scam dev is out of the picture, now some quality people are filling in the gap! Nice new logo they came up with. The coin is already on tons of exchanges, including in China, has a super low unit count, POS, and rock bottom priced. Why pay for a new anon scam coin, when you can get the next Vootcoin cheap now, that actually has a decent chance at some returns? (and a great brand name) 10x or so returns if it works out, potentially, but nothing is a sure thing.
The new logo is 1000x better, so, off to a good start. High Risk? Meh, not at this price. Moderate risk. I am back in. It would also be kind of fun to make this into a winner without the bastard that started it"

That's awesome that you are promoting us!

Nice to see you working on the website. Thanks
The sooner you can make that viewable, the better I reason.

I created a forum for Darkcash at the URL below

darkcash.boards.net

Its not fancy and I did not have any images, and I have not tried to register and login as a user yet,
but it should work. Maybe try it out and let me know, and guide me so I know what the
community wants in the forum. I am not an expert forum admin so bear with me,
but perchance Darkcash might get its own forums somewhere else

Great job creating this! I'm glad that you're adding so many ideas here. I'll create an account later today. I'll add it to the OP now. You should add a donation address for yourself on the forum.

Thanks!

I was wondering why the coin is rising, the old thread was still locked and I didn't find nothing new, at the end I found this new thread.

Can someone tell me in few words what is happening?

Have we a new dev? Is the project started again in full, or what?

I'm holding from before the old crash, I fucking bought at 4k, and now seeing it rising gave me a little hope to save my investment.

thanks.

Neither me nor 7vpo are programmers. 7vpo however as you can see is very skilled at graphic design as he made the awesome new logo and he's working on the website as well. He also is good at setting up web servers and helped get all the new nodes set up.

I'm mostly an investor/miner/pundit myself and I have a Twitter account that's posted in OP and I have a lot of followers including Erik Vorhees and Richie from Bittrex. Bter.com also contacted me. I have also put out ads on Twitter for a new programmer.

So we have a great promotional team, all we need is a programmer to join the team. I've gotten some good tips and leads in personal messages both here and on Twitter and I hope that some time this week we can finally get a good programmer working on this project again. Both me and 7vpo also know some potential programmers. It's not an instantaneous process getting something like this to start again after the original dev left, but that's what we're here for. We're going to make it happen.

Right now we have at least stabilized the project and we're getting a good direction going again. I think with the community support we are already seeing things are going to go well.

Any news on the Masternodes?

Just to make it clear, Darkcoin's Masternodes are not open source yet, so they can't be implemented yet. But we want to put anon in ASAP. Ideally we could get something going like XC where they had nodes that required a certain number of coins and payed the people running them. It all depends on how fast we can get a new programmer. That's what we're working hard on right now. If you have any programmers you know who could work on this project let us know.

I am friends with one of the XC guys, I think he was going to contact you about helping with a wallet or something. XC is very solid anon tech, even in the earlier versions. We also talked about it, and that is good status for XC Devs to be helping out coins, sort of like Rat4 of Blackcoin helping POS coins in the past. (Gives them more status as a gold standard - and of course Darkcash has a great brand and such)

I think 7vpo would agree that we would gladly accept whatever help we can get. Ideally we would like a programmer to see the potential that 7vpo and I have created here in reviving this community that the original dev abandoned, and they would want to join our team and create a great new thing. I think there's potential with the DarkCash brand as you say. Also nobody can criticize this project as a copy cat or a scam since this is entirely community driven and funded. We're just people from the community like everyone else trying to make this coin work again. Please by all means talk to your friend and see if they are interested!

I placed an advertisement for Darkcash,

to try and help find a new dev,

at the link below:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=722379.0

Thanks for the support bitbets! We're talking to a couple devs ourselves, but it doesn't hurt to advertise either. With all this effort from the community, we'll surely get someone on the team soon.

We're talking to developers on Bitcointalk and IRL. We hope to have one soon.
