Total Supply (Approx): 27,5 Billion RDD
Block Time: 60 Seconds

Block halving rate: 50,000 blocks
Current Block reward: 12,500 RDD

Reward

12,500 RDD per block

Reddcoin will be dedicated to one thing: tipping on social networks as a way to bring cryptocurrency to the general public.

Social networks are now part of our life. They give to everyone on this planet a fair chance at showing to the world how awesome they are. Getting an upvote’s or like’s for their well-received comment is fun, but unfortunately, it has no real value. Maybe there is something better?

Cryptocurrency is complicated. Let’s face it, the average human being has no idea how cryptocurrency work. They would like to get involved, but usually have no idea where to start.

Reddcoin will fill those voids by integrating a seamless cryptocurrency tipping system with all major social networks to make the process of exchanging coins simple, fun and rewarding both for the giver and the receiver.

Everyone will be a winner. Social networks are always looking for new ways to have their users interact with each other in order to generate more advertising revenue. Our customers will enjoy this new “cool” application and even make some money out of it. Coin owners will benefit from the increased demand from social networks.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I saw that reddcoin was having some positive price action and so came over here to find the thread on it.  Is this really the main announcement thread on bitcointalk?

Sorry for the Necro but I couldn't find another one.

I hear a web based wallet has been released but don't see it on the reddcoin site given above.

EDIT: I found their original thread, they locked it for some reason.  Makes no sense: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423597.4740

I am curious how everyone is looking at Reddcoin in 2022.
It's already 8 years old and still alive. How is the Reddcoincommunity ?

I see there is aome activity at Cryptocompare  : https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/rdd/overview/USDT

Also that Forum shows a Youtube Channel :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rk772ouV6c&t=88s

Can the community grow like Dogecoin? Similar to Dogecoin I remember it were both tipping coins.

I like to know more about it from the community and holders.
