Many people burn himself nowadays (like me) with this scam coins: Elite, ConcealCoin, DarkCash and the latest is USB coin.

I want to make a topic for the real and trusted coins. Price is not important, but there is some criteria:

1. Coin must be at least 1 month old.
2. Dev(s) is still active: if dev don't post on his topic one week I will remove from my list.
3. If you have a newbie account with your coin, you will not on the list.
4. You must have: a public source code, wallets (minimum is Windows wallet), and a block explorer.
5. You must have an official website.

This is an open topic I don't want to delete postS. If you have any opinion, please post here. I don't want to reply PMs, if you want to be on the list, post here where everyone can see it. Transparency is important.

Last thing: Sorry for my english, this is not my native language.

I want to make a website later, if this topic will success.

I will add some coins tonight, in the OP!

STOP SCAM COINS!

That's really not the way to tell if a coin is a "scam".

You have to look at the source and check out the block chain.

Basically, anyone with some skills and a bunch of posts could pull one over on you pretty easily.

LOOK AT THE SOURCE YOU IDIOTS.

Moolah is taking over Mintpal and promises to take measures to eliminate scamcoins.

We should hold them to their word, and support them if they follow through.

LOVE THE IDEA !! if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem ... and in most cases just as much to blame ... well done for taking the initiative, thank you!

CoinsSource is hard at work trying to address this issue head on. As long as the community keeps supporting these kinds of coins, people will continue to put their garbage out. If the community, and developers come together to create solutions to solve this issue, it will fall off.

We're working on a Trust Index that looks to address this issue from a developer side. Please see how we plan to do this and support us if you're interested.

First off, kudos for having the get-up-and-go to initiate this. I have some observations, nothing personal ....

Your language is fine (english is very robust to mangled syntax), it's the thinking that needs more work. I'm assuming that you're motivated to make this list a success, the issues raised below if left unresolved, will act against that aim.

1. Coin must be at least 1 month old 1 month from what exactly?
2. Dev(s) is still active: if dev don't post on his topic one week I will remove from my list. The list will fast become irrelevant if this unrealistic criterion is imposed - I recommend making an actual count, get some hard figures, you're also making a lot of work for yourself, checking up on this
3. If you have a newbie account with your coin, you will not on the list.Ineffective criterion, non-newbie accounts can be bought
4. You must have: a public source code, wallets (minimum is Windows wallet), and a block explorer.you mean compiled wallets - who will check that they actually work? Will there be a program of random re-visits or can the block explorer be dispensed with immediately afterwards?
5. You must have an official website.“official”, how is that defined?

Lastly, you may find it more difficult that you expect to gain wide support or credibility when maintaining a “trusted coins list” using a pseudonymous account.

Cheers
