Maybe they realized that Bitcoin users who are serious about carrying cryptocurrencies around on a tablet were going to switch to Android. The Blockchain app is back in their store. http://www.wired.com/2014/07/blockchain-back/?mbid=social_fb

I'm glad they finally got it back in. The old blockchain app made on-the-go payments a breeze. It was a shame that they closed it out.

New app seems to be well designed, though the send/receive icons could be a little clearer/less cluttered.

They are too late for me.

I already bought an android replacement for my iOS device specifically because I needed an easy way to carry bitcoins around and Apple was blocking bitcoin wallets.

They lost me as a customer and aren't likely to get me back anytime soon.  I'm probably not the only one.  This was a big mistake on Apple's part.  Perhaps Bitcoin is still in the early adoption phase, and they'll be able to capture a lot of future business, but I suspect they'll feel the pain of their decision for a while.

They need to be friendly to new idea and new application. If not, innovation will happen elsewhere.

Apple is trendsetter....they know what you need, they know how you need it...so shut up and USE!  Grin If they say Bitcoin is out, it's out, if they say it's in it's in.

Innovation was never in the building. But there was theft of already produced ideas, products and designs, put into fancy boxes and nice colors....than again, when you look at world avarage and patent law, that IS classified as innovation so yeah...in this totaly upside down wierd world, Appl had innovation while Steve was alive...now they lost part of it for sure...

It's great to see that Apple have brought this back, however I can never understand myself as to why they took it away in the first place as it only pushed people who used it to another device to be able to keep on using it.

I do like the new look an layout of it though since it's been brought back and I am very much looking forward to using it again myself.

It's already been about a month or so since apple allowed apps back to the store that allowed the transaction of Bitcoin and generally other cryptocurrencies, that 'are legal in the respective jurisdictions'

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

Someone's already broke an iphone and replaced with Android (My friend)..
Apple's afraid of the money laundering thing and so they have to lose the apps and now putting it back..
They maybe realized that more people are using their mobiles to track and use their bitcoin, a potential crowd for iphone..

Really glad to know about it and I am happy for those who can't live without an Apple. Smiley

Biggest Apple's mistake was to ban Bitcoin apps.

It was mentioned many times that it was a mistake and in my opinion they should invite something innovative for bitcoin users which will help to support Bitcoin if they want to pay back they mistakes.

Apple is sort of a joke as a company.

The malibu barbies of the real world.

"Oh that Malibu barby has a new hat and its only 10 dollars more?  SOLD"

"Oh that iPad still doesn't have a USB port, and its only $100 dollars more?  SOLD"

So true. Cheesy

Apple is too late. People already trashed their phones...

I don't think that an overcontrolling company like Apple is a good match for bitcoin. Bitcoin liberates, Apple incarcerates the user.
