Why people stop developing SHA256 COINS?

Is SHA256 losing ground in the Cryptocurrency markets?

Because they get sabotaged immediately?

ROI is not a verb, the term you're looking for is 'to break even'.

Because someone can just fire up a few TH/s and wreck the coin?
The question you should ask, is "Why do people develop altcoins that have no special features?".

A lot of new coins die very quickly because of the 51% attack plus there are plenty of sha-256 coins already which are unique in some way and thinking of new features is very hard when there are so many already.
