I've cleared almost all pending cashouts; just STP, a couple BTC and half a dozen PP remaining. I'll go through some of the bitcoin tickets next; I doubt i'll get to them all today though. As they take ages to verify and add manually. We've placed an order for 2 more servers, as PV's traffic was on fire last night. And the servers were at 95% CPU usage. So very nearly at the point of failure. So that'll bring us up to 7servers; with the following arrangement:  We might be able to add another 1-2 www servers to this setup; but we're going to have to do something with the database soon. Either split it up into two parts, on two separate servers (ie. separate the BAP games from the rest of the database). Or switch it over to NoSQL; and look into database replication. That'll be a big waste of programming time; but something we'll have to invest into after the Multiplayer Poker development. And it might actually happen at the same time as Poker; as we'll have to do some special setup there; regarding dedicated gaming servers perhaps ... as gaming traffic could potentially be huge; if there are 1000+ people playing at the same time - great for revenues, but a nightmare for server traffic ... anyway, we'll see what the programmers come up with! I'm pushing the programmers to enable automatic share transfer approvals + the new 0.25% rate. That should be a quick implementation + popular. There's no PV ad issue today, just some random little ads... And PV snapped up all the cheapest shares on the marketplace today; after mostly buying from itself all week. So that raised the price by 5cents temporarily. We'll wait for it to go back down again and repeat sometime next week. Liquidity Report I've rounded the numbers for simplicity & to allow for anything i've missed (few PV things for sure) ; and I estimate this liquidity report will likely be accurate to +/-$20k.... This is just a ballpark liquidity report to see where we're at & correct the available dev funding stat! $2500 - Lotto Jackpot + Reserve Jackpot + other game pending prizes (Three Towers etc) $7000 - Pending Cashouts $227000 - Account Balances $50000 - 7 Day Rolling Result Reserve $5000 - Share Bid Escrows $9300 - Pending share dividends (for Monday) ---------------------------------- $301000 total liabilities ---------------------------------- $190000 - PayPal $10000 - BTCE $10000 - BTC $33000 - Payza $12000 - EGO $76000 - PM $41000 - STP $5000 - Bank ----------------------------------- $377,000 total assets ----------------------------------- So that gives us $76,000 excess (development funds). For which i've applied a $155k development charge to PaidVerts. As the difference in funds is the result of result supplement for the ad issues. And one bit of good news about that; is for the last 2weeks or so; we haven't supplemented the results at PV at all; if anything we've issued a bit less than we could have... So after heavily investing in the growth of that via inflated ad issues; it's now holding its own, and doing very well. * The bank value for our assets may be way off; Carlos has been cashing out a whole bunch from PP lately; so there might be quite a bit more there than the 5k (ie. nothing!) i've assumed. But all in all... a very healthy system! And more than enough development funds to keep us busy up, until Christmas at least. Jo smile ps. Todays news is in progress... I currently have no idea what to do regarding todays PV ad issue. No issue / half issue / random issue?... But i think the next week is going to be a good one for ad issues regardless! jakub2014 joanna Darynka11 ... These 3 accounts have been temporarily banned, pending investigation into some really suspicious PayPal activity... They have managed to get around our weekly deposit limits by depositing with echecks, that take 6-10days to clear. But for some reason our system treats them as deposits, but doesn't count them towards your weekly limit. Anyway... firstly, we've now blocked our paypal account from receiving e-check deposits. As they're a security risk. And the above accounts are frozen pending two things; 1) A reply from the user; explaining why he has so many accounts all using / related to the same PayPal account. 2) For all these e-checks to clear. Then we'll re-instate the accounts without any issues. In the event that they dont; then this will be deemed as fraud; and we'll zero all the accounts (and another 20 or so related to this PayPal account)... And we'll recoup several hundred dollars in referral commission from at least one of their uplines - who I've not banned for the moment. But i'm going to freeze his cashouts pending the outcome of this investigation / event! But I don't really know whats going on here; as these accounts have been in good standing. It's weird why they're suddenly flooding the system with echecks; almost like an over enthusiastic investor that's found a way to invest more... Let's hope its just that! Otherwise it'll be a bit messy in a few days time when these e-checks don't clear. And we have clear everything up / write up the losses. (But the financial value of any loss will be minimal to none; it's just correcting the record keeping / result cards) --- There's no particular programming news today. We're installing the two new www servers today, so if you see any random errors / downtime; that's why. But that should all be complete within the next hour or two... So i'd suggest viewing your ads then! Update from Paul: We are working on new servers setup at the moment, but generally speaking we are focused on multiplayer poker right now. Still waiting for Rayner to send us a graphics, but we've already started to design the technical side of communication betweeen users. Please be aware of that we are not able to handle several tasks at the same time... I can't promise anything yet, but I'll try to start working full time since November and see how it goes. Our 2 new www servers are now installed. And the timing was pretty good, yesterday we had just short of 9000 users online at the same time... Site was a bit laggy, but it held up. So that's pretty good. The programmers are starting to talk to each other about solutions to our database scaling issues... We'll likely work to split the database initially; putting some unused data into an archive server... eg. Setting the old result card data in stone; then archiving the raw data behind it. As it's basically never used. I also see that Paul has "officially" started Multiplayer Poker build. That's marked as "in progress" on our programming queue now. So that's cool! Lucas is investigating this echeck stuff... PayPal does not make life easy with that regard! So those 4 accounts are still blocked; and if all these e-checks don't all clear; im going to zero all accounts related to that particular PayPal account. And claw back as much of the referral commission paid as possible. But hopefully it won't come to that! .. As that will make for a messy result card, even though our financial losses will be minimal to none. But we'll likely have to write off some loss; to re-liquidate the system for a bunch of investment / portfolio revenue that should never have existed. And I think Incapsula is about to increase their bill... they're complaining about our bandwidth. So brace yourselves! cheese Cashouts I will look into tomorrow or Thursday. Pretty much no news today... we're still investigating this e-checks thing. But this guy is a bit strange to deal with; so i've not idea how this will pan out. If the checks clear; then all is good. If not, then we need to zero about 20accounts.... But I can't get a straight answer out of the guy; so we're stuck waiting on the 6-10business days clearance time from PayPal. And then we'll find out! We're also investigating our PayPal history to see if there are any past instances of e-checks that didn't clear; and we'll ban the offending accounts for fraud. When I get back this evening, i'll sort the cashouts out & sort the missing deposit support tickets. I've re-issued yesterdays $101.50 ad for the 50m BAP group, as that didn't seem to arrive. Programming Update from Daniel: Short status, just to keep you up to date. I worked yesterday and today on a file uploading and dev server configurations. Results are: - We can upload files to all the www servers simply by running one script. Previously, we needed to do it manually (nightmare when you have 4 servers). It took time and wasn't very reliable as you couldn't upload everything in parallel. - We can upload assets just like any other files (they are on the balancer). - We can upload current live files directly to the dev server and configure it also by one click. - Dev server is working - Dev infrastructure is completely separated (local DB, Redis, etc.). Live DB can be also used to check some special cases. I hope, we'll catch much more issues now before going live smile Later today I will aim to clear all 101 pending BitCoin tickets. BitCoin is working fine for new deposits; these are just old issues from last week. I cleared all the other pending deposits for other processors last night. Today's news and ad issue is in progress... The problem is, there are too many users online! (I'm chasing iweb up about installing our upgraded DB server - as that's all signed & paid for) ... As soon as traffic dies down a bit -- should only be an hour or two, i'll issue the ads for the remaining 7 BAP groups. Todays issue is pretty big; almost as big as yesterdays! And I have to say MTV/PV are flying along!! Biggest revenue day ever yesterday, we sold over $60k in ads, and i made over $2000 in ref commissions in a single day. So this is looking good! And PayPal has crossed the quater million mark:  Perfect Money also has a boat load of money in it, over $100k this morning; that we can't seem to get rid of quickly enough. I bought $20k worth of bitcoins earlier just to spread the assets around a bit... but there's still way too much money in that account. * I'm trying to pay the PP cashouts at the moment, but the PP bulk payments are lousy of late. They're taking up to 20minutes to process. It's ridiculous... And i've got 11 of them to do. (I'm asking the programmers to adjust my admin lists to 200 cashouts per page; then I can pay the cashouts in bigger chunks, and save me a bit of time). All other payment processors are up to date, except for BitCoin. And i'm working on that today; they're slow going as I can only send one every few minutes. But I'll try and get those back within 48hours today/tomorrow.... And cashier revenues are over $740 today; that's adding up to a whole bunch now we're moving tens of thousands around. I've added an "account lockdown" functionality to the programming list. Where users can pay either $0.001 or 10 BAP or some nominal (tiny) sum to block all account functions for between 6-72hours (basically make their account read only for the lockdown period)... Then if you're going to bed, or will be away for the weekend; you can guarantee your account won't be hacked (at least until you get back!)... And the lockdown also blocks gameplay; so it serves as a time-out period for any gamers that need to protect themselves from themselves. I'm pushing the programmers to scale our hosting more quickly... as we're adding 4-5k new active daily users each week (with 15k+ weekly signups)... So it's real tough to keep everything speedy. But we'll aim to get ahead of that ASAP. As a laggy site is annoying! No particular programming news today; but I see Paul & Daniel are billing hours for the Multiplayer Poker fairly consistently - so that's on its way. But I have no idea about any timeframe right now. I'll reply with the PV ad issue stats in a few hours, once they're all issued. MTV is here to stay folks, it'll be around longer than Bitcoin. It already survived the demise of Liberty Reserve. There was some downtime at the end of the server day last night, as the programmers are working on partitioning one section of the database. As there are a few queries that are scanning a table with 100million+ rows; and it takes forever! 3-4minutes! So that's obviously a major drain on server resources if one user can occupy an entire server core for all that time. Meanwhile the other 500-1000 requests per second are bottlenecked between the remaining cores. That process, along with our new database server installation will likely continue this evening. So around the end of the server day +/- an hour, expect another hour or two of downtime for maintenance / transitioning to our upgraded DB server. I'm talking with iweb at the moment to firstly consolidate our billing; as currently they bill every server separately. And it's a bit of a pain having 7-8 bills a month... And when we consolidate that; I'll try and get them to work in a bulk discount... And also i'm trying to make an arrangement with them, to install new hardware more quickly. As currently it takes 4-7days to upgrade our hardware; as they waste a bunch of time with contracts, red tape, and payment before even beginning installation. And that's no good! We need to upgrade real fast if the site is under heavy traffic - we'll worry about the paperwork afterwards. So i'll see what they say about that. I forgot to mention the other day, that Carlos finally got our SSL certificate changed to the correct name. So that looks way better... And we seem to have picked the most anal of all SSL companies; they take the verification to epic proportions; they have so many requirements it's unbeleivable. But we've jumped through all those hoops, and that's that! Next we're working on additional payment processors, and Carlos is looking into opening more bank accounts. And we may have a solution for an account in the US... But it's early days with that, we'll see how it goes! Also, Carlos is getting real chummy with our PayPal account manager. They might remove or substantially decrease our rolling reserve & other fees soon... Which could be interesting, as it'll unlock a huge block of capital that we can then put into a bank account; and potentially use as leverage to open a merchant account. Which may then facilitate credit card deposits / cashouts... But again, early days there - but the potential is interesting... As we grow a bit more, and sit on more and more assets - it'll definitely open doors for us. So that'll be interesting.
