That Chinese seller is probably moving to or has been selling on AliExpress.
They blow away the eBay/Paypal conglomerate due to the escrow service. Sellers don't get money until buyers receive their product.
Once Alibaba IPO is released, they should get more Western visibility.

And PayPal claims another victim. I hate that I still have to use them, but there isn't much that I can do about it. Anyway, I don't mind another reseller accepting Bitcoin. I love Chinese stuff

FTFY. I've no issue with the Chinese. Or any other "race".
It's not about the race. It's about the country in which the seller is located. I think the trouble is the Chicom. I wouldn't trust Russia either.

US market is shrinking. First, the financial elite gutted the manufacturing sector. Then the retail and service sector. Eventually, even the financial center will leave US and move elsewhere.

I don't really trust anyone I don't know, so I guess you're more liberal on that than I am That being said, I've been screwed more often by American companies than by Asian or Russian companies, and I am American by birth. Our so called consumer protection laws are not as good as they look on paper, unless you are wealthy or well connected.

The only positive about paypal is it has big userbase.
Thats not the reason people use paypal. They are a 3rd party which strictly serves to protect the buyer as a type of escrow service / payment handler, where if you get screwed they compensate you. As a seller, paypal offers nothing.

I wouldn't trust a Chinese eBay Seller too lol but it's good for them. I have purchased from Chinese eBay sellers many times, and it has always been a good deal. try aliexpress instead ... and you change your mind ( NEED escrow protection ... for me, always !)

I see many negative reviews for AliExpress. So I doubt that I will ever use it.

Yes, hundreds of Chinese eBay purchases for me, never a problem with Chinese sellers, not once. ~10 years ago I was importing bulk lots of green laser pointers from Chinese to resell locally. Green lasers were a big novelty back then . Bank wiring like 4k euro after slowly building trust, never got burned once.

It depends on the seller. I have purchased several times from one seller on AliExpress and the transaction has always went well.

seems like most of the merchandise sold from chinese companies on ebay are high volume, low margin transactions. since bitcoin transaction fees are fixed, it means less money saved.. but they would still save money from accepting bitcoin anyways.

Someday Bitcoin will be an option in the major retailer webistes, besides Visa, Mastercard, etc.
