1W/GH shold be priced below 1$/GH.
I bought some Antminers and I got below 1$/GH, including PSUs.
Ants also have a 20% better efficiency.
Not only is BitCrane a bit late to the party, but their pricing is way off, especially considering they bought the awfully cheap hashfast chip.

Isn't the most important metric now w/GHs, more so than $/GHs? It certainly is for me! If I want to continue to earn some nice extra income, I'm going to have to replace less efficient equipment with super efficient gear. Not so much because of electricity costs but because I simply can't put another watt on my circuit breakers (nope, not interested in DC hosting). I'm very curious to see what these other 28nm chips would do when run at more efficient clockspeeds. I consider all other 28nm chips to be absolute failures except for KNC, Spoondoolies and Bitmain (and of course Bitfury's 55nm chip). But what if everyone wasn't pushing the GHs at the expense of efficiency. Would they be significantly more efficient or are they just shit chips?

Agree, antminers S3 are by far the best...

It really is that easy^
The build quality of this unit can not be underestimated, compared to something like a BTC Garden or the R-3, you can tell extensive work and effort went into designing and building the case and the internals. Probably one of the best built miners you can buy today, if not the best pricing.

pretty expensive tho plus it seemed to make some awful noise from that vid they just posted. Miners have a short lifecycle i dont see the point in buying expensive HW that will turn useless in less than 1/2 year anyway. pretty or not. good sales pitch but i'll pass.

ROI is infinity.
I will buy three @ $850 but they need to be delivered (East Coast USA) no later than Wed 8/20.

Not to pile on, but lketc is selling their dragonminers innosilicon theftboxes for ~$1,300k - which is still too high.
On a brighter note, it's amazing how many choices are available now for those who want to buy asic based miners. Let's just ignore the fact that most of the sellers are either selling off their old, worn out equipment or are liquidating (maybe to reinvest in newer hardware, or not).
You see, the realistic best case is that a company sells at a price where you might break even - provided that the stars align correctly - but at least now you can shop around and try to figure out which company is least likely to deliver late, deliver garbage, or not deliver at all. And then get mad when you guess wrong.
And the manufacturers laugh all the way to the bank

I will pile on. AsicMiner tube for 1.04 btc 800 gh around 800 watts that is about 540 usd for 800 gh. to be fair you need a psu get an evga 1300 for 180 and you have 800gh for 720usd. or 1600gh for under 1400 since you do not need to buy 2 controllers.

As you can see you can go down up to 0.5J/GH. HF has tons of uncut dies still in wafer forms. It's probable that they will not package them into the power monster that the GN chip is, and run them on a more efficient setup. I for once hope so.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive: Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

The stacking is nice.
If it allowed hot aisle containment, it would be even better. (Which is where the standard rack shines)

It does make sense though. What they're saying is you don't need racks with their units - as long as you don't need access to the unit at the bottom.

As the first batch of these seem to be sold out, I can only hope future batches will be cheaper.
I also hope they will be able to continously source cheap chips from hashfast. (I see no reason this should change though)

I must say that this is the most dangerous looking miner. Nice colors, black and yellow. Design is good, but I will wait for the moment to add miners again.

Or they are just advertising that they are sold out to create a hype and to allow time to reconsider their pricing structure. Watch they will come out with a new version without water cooling.
