Specs say 3000w nominal draw but it comes with 2x 1200w PSU?

In the states wont that translate to less than 3kw?

Pretty new to mining so sorry if it is a dumb qiestion. Want to pick up an Antminer s3 but their site doesnt appear to updated and their twitter has been dead since beginning of month.  Cant find one near OC cali. thinking about hopping in on the next gen miners when i found this. Im still a noob.

They also raised the price of Batch4 S3's.  They were 0.64btc, now 0.68btc.  Maybe because the $$/BTC has dropped?

That's neat Smiley i will get one if i get an s3. Anyone have some knowledge they can help me with about the spondoolies?

How would 2x 1.2kw PSUs support a 3kw  power usage?

The SP30 will come with two power supplies, either Emerson or Murata.

1200W is the power supply output. 1500W is the maximum power draw at the wall for the Emerson PSU.
Murata power supplies have a power draw at the wall of a little more than 1600W. That's when using 200-240V input.

For 90-120V at input the net power output is lower.

CSA/cUL Certified Power Distribution Panels - Basic, Switched, Metered. 1-3 phases. Up to 600V. NMC:N4F9qvHz11BHcc4nh1LCJFsrZhA1EWgVwj

OK i think I understand where i went wrong. I thought the miner wanted 3kw and the PSU's were supplying 2.4kw.

what the ad means is the miner will draw 2400kw from the psu's which is 3kw from the wall using an 80 plus power supply.

should you consider going towards SP30; consider Hosting solutions.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622998.0 (H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation)

most domestic premises will require 2 separate circuits to power the SP30. and if you are in USA, 110v will not get the most out of your machine.

Hello.  newbie here.  just purchased an sp30 yukon on minersource.net.  received the unit last week.  the shipping box was damaged a little on the bottom.  got firmware updated and was ready to rock.  the first 3 loops, Loop0, Loop1 and Loop2 will not power up.  I have been on support with spondoolies and they cannot get this working either.

I've cracked the case and inspected the top board.  nothing looks physically damaged, but they will just not power up.  i have tried reseating the connections I could, no dice.

any thoughts?  i have marked them as removed for now.

I have been on support with spondoolies and they cannot get this working either.

If they [Remo / Zvi] can't debug it, its unlikely any of us will be able to. My SP35 to is sick and has a non operational board for unknown reasons. If you've just purchased it from minersource, contact them and arrange an RMA. They can be quite difficult to get a response out of if its not for a sale but keep trying.

Yes I see this now.  They tell me they are submitting an insurance claim with their carrier.  i cannot get anyone to call me or commit to an RMA.  I am about ready to dispute the trans with my cc company.  I just want a fully functional unit
