Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

He's basically asking which coin he should mine.
Anyway, to answer that we need to know what hardware you have.

If you have a Scrypt ASIC or something like that, then don't switch to GPU.
However if you mean that you are using a script mining program, and are mining using your CPU, then switch to GPU.
You should calculate if it's profitable or not anyway.

gpu profitability is random maybe now is dead, but at the end of the month maybe it could be profitable again

script asic instead is surely dead

maybe low cost electricity/discount(because they are friends of the producer ecc...), most of those machine can't make roi like sha256

Look at what happened to bitcoin when asics were introduced. It took away the mining ability from dumb ass kids and it moved to professionals. Look where the price went. What happens with scrypt coins, well who knows. Nobody since this is all new and has never been done before.

My advice is to mine LTC and hold. If it does what bitcoin did then you'll be rich, or not, its a gamble.

GPU mining is scam central at the moment. I think there are many FPGAs that do x11, x13 and the rest of the chained algos.

Do what you think is right, research more, read and read more. Have fun  Grin
