I recently got into Twitch because of GoldGlove (amazing Twitch Streamer) and I became a subscriber instantly. It's amazing that you can pay for Turbo Subscriptions with Bitcoin and it would be even better if they accepted it for normal Subscriptions.

However, Twitch is owned by Google. I wonder what the effect of this will be on Twitch in the future.

Does this mean that Google will be accepting bitcoin, since Google is buying Twitch?

Merely taking over the income stream, and possibly going to use the platform to push google+ on people

As an amateur LoL streamer on Twitch and bitcoin fanatic, this is huge!

I notice a lot of companies that are big are accepting bitcoin, then someone makes a post and says "big news" or "this is huge" or "to the moon".

The issue isn't really that there are almost no companies that accept them, for the most part you can buy almost everything with the adoption rate of bitcoin now. The news should be "omfg 2 million more people are using bitcoin than before!" or "more transaction volume that is ACTUALLY buying and selling goods is happening!"(as opposed to trading on exchanges back and forth to profit is what we don't need more of).

Interestingly justin.tv is just shut down permanently in the last few hours after 7 years online - dam!

Apparently they want to concentrate on twitch tv
