What is the easiest and cheapest way to buy bitcoins in the US? If i pay with Visa, the price is awful, bitstamp requests too much for verification, with coinbase i got to use a bank account. What are the other options?

did you try to buy some via localbitcoins? there you can find many payment options or even you can pay with cash in hand with someone near you!

Safest is to use coinbase.

Bitstamp is only cheap if you buy large volume. For small volume, coinbase is cheap also.

the problem with localbitcoins is that the price is usually higher than on bitstamp. So i d like to find a place like a bitstamp, that got much liquidity but also has different deposit options

Maybe you should check some other exchanges outside the US that accept bank transfers?

The easiest way: coinbase. It takes only ~15 minutes or so to get everything setup and linked (it does take time to verify your bank account, but this is only a one time thing) and once everything is setup and your identity verified you can easily buy bitcoin with just a few clicks.

The cheapest way: to be a liquidity provider on LBC (local bitcoin). You will not be able to buy right away but people who want to sell their bitcoin right away will offer a discount in order to sell right away. You will also likely need to meet at a time/place that works for the seller, but you would end up getting a discount.

Coinbase is the first choice, but not the cheapest.
May be you could go LakeBTC to buy bitcoin when the price is falling, such as now.

IMO, the easiest way is to use Coinbase while the cheapest way is to use Btc-e to buy some bitcoin.

Localbitcoin is easy also if you don't mind paying a little extra.
