When you use blockchain.info wallet enable 2FA and allways look at the website link in case you land on a phishing and they gett your login info. The better and more secure way to store your BTC is to use Bitcoin core wallet 0.9.2.1 ( https://bitcoin.org/en/download) or use electrum (you don't need to download more than 20GB of blockchain data) https://electrum.org/download.html

I think the expression "open book" in this context means "public" ... so anybody can look inside (but just read only). you can see balance of every single addy if you know it. Don't worry, just set 2FA.

The site is not a scam or something like that, they won't run away with your coins.
But it is an online service, so other people may hack you and steal your coins, and the site can have vulnerabilities, so you always have the risk of losing your coins, pretty much as you have the risk to lose your money when you use exchanges, online stores, credit card, internet banking, etc...

It is still pretty secure. Its about as secure as any well made site, you can make it more secure by using a stong password and 2 factor authentication but all in all, its pretty good.

They're quite safe when it comes to online wallets or partially online wallets. BUT: Why not use a real offline wallet you can download, so only you decide what happens with your Bitcoins. You need to own the private keys to your Bitcoin or you don't really own them!

I always use it as a on-hand bitcoin transactions, meaning just for that day.
The rest is split between planning for a cold storage or the current btc qt software wallet.

If you don't click any phishing links, don't have keylogger in your computer and you have enabled 2FA, it is very safe. For highest safety level, you can try to keep 95% of your bitcoin in an offline armory wallet.

As long as you secure it with two factor authentication, it is pretty safe. They also send backups of your wallets to your email, if they are down, you would still be able to access the bitcoin. A good alternative is electrum, they do not require you to download the whole blockchain.

Blockchain.info wallet is IMO the best online wallet you can get, as you have control of the private keys to your bitcoin, unlike exchanges.

it depends on your needs and how much you save bitcoin. If you need to transact, use blockchain. because blockchain flexible but my advice do not over 3BTC. if the wallet to savings btc, use the desktop wallet. and always backup files .dat

yeah, i used blockchain too but as long as i used it , its safe but i thought u have to make a difficult pass and set it into 2fa The identifier is secure enough IMO. The identifier contains a lot of alphanumeric characters which is impossible for anyone to guess. Even if they have it, they would need to bruteforce it which is even more difficult and will never be successful as you need to bypass 2 Factor Authentication protection. It is a complete waste of times for attackers.
