"In regards to the S1's there was mention of upgrade kits at one point. I'd send them an email and ask."

Thanks, MoreBloodWine.

(I've emailed them).

I was concerned about them because of how "tight" they look like they might no get great air flow, why I never seriously looked at them.

Since you are referring to the SP10 miners you should know that their "tightness" creates a negative pressure inside the case which helps with better airflow and lower temperatures than in a normal unpressurized case. The SP10 are the most robust miners and everything around them is build for being datacenter ready/server grade quality.

But apparently their power supplies are already beginning to fail

How is that Lexical analysis working out bickneleski?

I don't recall if I mentioned this but I just recently added four S3's to my collection so now I'm running 9 things at almost 5Th/s.

To be decided...

Nice, you must have a really good cooling system going on? Air Con?

Hosted at a friend of mines business who run a bunch of server stuff. So can't say for sure but temps on everything stay around low 40c.

S3-1: 42
S3-2: 43
S3-3: 43
S3-4: 43

Prospector200: 53 <-- This ones actually at his house in the basement, he had to take it home a few weeks back to work on it.

Dragon-1: No Temp Lead
Dragon-2: No Temp Lead
Dragon-3: No Temp Lead

Then the 9th device is an rPi at my place I play with for fun.

Once I get him to allow port 22 I can OC my S3's to try and get ~500 each. I got lucky with mine and go four units hashing ~440 on stock freq, so they should OC ok.

If I can OC each one to ~500, I'll gain around 240 additional Gh/s all while still paying him he same amount which is $1 per 50w.So basially for the 1Th Dragons @ 1k watts he gets $20 a month per Dragon while averaging $460 a month per Dragon.

To be decided...

Ok, so I've got a response from Bitmain.

Me:
"Are there any plans to sell an upgrade path kit from the S1's to S3's?

Thank you,
_Miracle"

Bitmain:
"Hi,
Is being developed, will open sales soon.

Best Regards
BITMAIN"

Me:
"Thank you for the response. Do you have a time frame? Days, weeks or months?
Will there be a minimum order requirement?

 Wishing you well,
 _Miracle"

Bitmain:
"Hi,
Please wait for our official news Smiley

Best Regards
BITMAIN"

Guess I'll be keeping at least my original S1 but not holding my breath for the upgrade kit...patience isn't my best virtue, I'll order a couple S3's
