I think that's awesome that a country is launching their own CC. Everything is looking good for cryptos.

Is there a link to this news, where is the source?
If it's true I'll recommend buying as much as possible at its launch...

Backed by liquid assets. Not a crypto.

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

I've been convicted of heresy. Convicted by a mere known extortionist. Read my Trust for details.

On the upside, once the general public is exposed to govt-crypto then the switch to a more independent crypto should be easier. Viva le BTC!

I really don't see what it's going to do. It's literally just like Paypal all over again - another centralized currency that can be mass produced by the government according to its whimsical fancy so that it can avoid having to print more paper money. It makes no difference to Bitcoin and overall little difference at all.
