I don't think it really has a chance to spread outside of the 3rd world. According to http://www.who.int/ith/updates/20140421/en/ the virus can only be spread through blood and bodily fluids. Also, according to http://books.google.ca/books?id=9Wy7Jgy5RWYC&pg=PA648#v=onepage&q&f=false there haven't been any documented cases where it has been able to transfer through the air.

They are having a tough time in West Africa because of local culture to eat uncooked monkey and pig meat without also wearing protective clothing when dealing with the meat from these animals or wearing protective clothing when treating humans with the virus. I'd also imagine sanitation conditions such as dumping human waste into rivers that are also used as drinking water is an issue.

But, lets all hope this doesn't end up how HIV/Aids did because it seems the channels of transmission are very similar. I'd imagine since the AID's pandemic, first world countries and relief effort in the third world have over protective strategies in place that will hopefully stop the Ebola Virus from turning into anything like HIV/Aids did back in the 80's and into today.

Sounds like a horrible way to die, pretty much destroying your cell membranes to the point where your organs are liquefying and you are slowly bleeding out from your organs until you are gone.  Sad Undecided
