[2014-08-10] Image Sharing Platform Imgur to Support Bitcoin Payments for Premiu

An interesting scoop has been published by bitcoin news website Coin Fire which suggests that image sharing platform Imgur will soon be accepting bitcoin payments for their premium accounts services.

The news comes from “multiple sources” of the publication, comes following numerous requests from the company. To add, a Reddit user posted a screenshot of an email conversation with one of the company’s employees, which reads:

A email is not a public statement, but hopefully a step in the right direction. 

Now to get the software companies to accept it. {All these little shareware and freeware companies, because some of them, are pretty damn good}

This is big news, imgur is a site with about 127 million visitors per month and about 1 million page views per month. 

E-mail is not an official statement of course, but it's a step in the right direction.

Wow, that would be great news if true but seems like it could just be a rumour at the moment. I'd wait for more sources.
