The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Monero (XMR) was difficult .

At the beginning there was no GUI. It was all command line! And it did not work on win x86. I had to format c: and overcome my laziness to use it. Eventually it was worth it : the greater the barrier to entry, the lowest the price and the more probable you have a higher ROI.

Well any legit new technology is going to be a pain in the ass to use at first, just like early ass versions of Bitcoin were a pain in the ass to use. Well in fact, Bitcoin is still a pain in the ass to use if you don't know what you are doing, it still needs improvement. Also look at that Tested video where they buy a BTC on an ATM machine and they get literally scammed. This needs work before we going 10K mainstream.

I had the same issues in the beginning but luckily XMR repayed me with some decent gains, now with the GUI is a piece of cake Smiley
Another coin with which I had problems was NXT, I really couldn't let it work.
After days of pain the dev gave me a link to another version which worked in the first run -_-

Only bitcoin is being "used" to process payment right now.

I do not see any other coin that is used for payment.

NMC due to its command prompt client, though by no means have I tried anywhere near a majority of coins out there.

Monero, My system is useless while its updating. I made it usable by lowering the task priority. The .net wallet only crashes. I use text mode to sync so I can see progress then use cryptonote wallet to send.

Any coin with a virus is a pain to use. I heard even black coin started out with a virus in the wallet, but it was removed when the coin got popular.

Via sites using GoCoin, bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin can be used for payments.

I agree. Add to that crappy new pump coins which come prebuilt with viruses, and your laptop will blow up.  Haha.
