I've had the same stupid avatar for like a year and a half...and I can't change it!

Avatar changing is disabled for security reasons, and will be restored when the new forum software comes to live.
And you can ask a mod to remove if avatar, but can't put a new one.
Refer to the meta forum to more details.

I think we should be able to change our avatars once the new forum software comes out. I think there was a security flaw in being able to use avatars so they made it so we cannot change them.

Avatars are planned to come back with the new forum software. So it is virtually perma removed, since I can't see the new forum software being launched this century |

Indefinitely. No worries. How important are avatars, anyway? Getting locked out of the forum for a few days when it got hacked sucked.... was glued to the Speculation forum at the time.  |
