Since bitcoin ATMs don’t actually do what ATMs are there to do—you know, give you money—and in fact exist to do the opposite—take your money and turn it into some 0s and 1s that some people call a currency—why should you have to wait in line for it at the coffee shop? Why shouldn’t you just put it the same place you spend the rest of your money: on your iPhone?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

That was funny to read.  It basically belittles people that use LocalBitcoin and calls them names.  and praises the service without any reviews or anything.  Would have been nice if there was more detail but it is and interesting piece of news.

I'm sure there was at least one ATM that had the dual function of buying and selling coins. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they get rolled out and become very popular, though maybe there might be some problems with money laundering in some places.
