m on windows just got my A2 Terminator yet i have an issue.
The machine has static IP of 192.168.1.130 YET my network is at 192.168.0.* and the machien actually shows up at  192.168.0.15 but that will not let me mine or enter panel of it.

Im using Thompson router.

So my question is: how to either change this static IP of A2 to one in my network or how to make somehow on router so 192.168.0.15 is actually an 192.168.1.130 in my local network.

Im totlaly cluless, please help

If your network is a 192.168.0.0/24 subnet you need to change the IP address of your miner to be on your correct subnet.

Try changing the IP address of your workstation to 192.168.1.100, log into the web interface of the A2, click on setup, change the ip address of the miner to 192.168.0.15 (on the setup tab) and the gateway to match whatever IP your router has for the internal interface (assuming 192.168.0.1) and reboot your miner. Then change your workstation back to DHCP or whatever IP it had.  You should be good to go...

Disconnect the Ethernet from your modem or router, connect it to the miner.

Then follow this section in the guide:"Setup IP address on your computer" & set your PC IP to the miner's IP,change the last digits though.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=344970.0

Set the miner to what ever your IP on your WAN is then just redo the procedure to put your PC back to its orginal IP after you changed the IP of the miner, the last digits should not be the same,so look in your router table before you start & choose a non used #.Usually between 1 & 250.Now reconnect to your modem or router & look for your miner!!!  Wink

the easiest thing to do is to add a secondary IP to your woirkstation in the same subnet as the miner.
so your workstation has an IP on your current 192.168.0.0/24 (assuming 24 bit subnet mask aka 255.255.255.0) and assign a secondary address on 192.168.1.0/24 (no default gw, no dns entries, just IP and mask)
now your workstation can communicate with devices on either subnet.  You can login to the miner and change it's IP.
you can add a tertiary address to accommodate some other miner in the future that decides to ship with a default IP in yet another subnet. etc... etc...

ok so i went and did change my IP like sushi thread - yet couldnt enter the miner.
what should i put as default gateway?

in my case miner is at 192.168.1.171
my usual ip is: 192.168.0.12

i changed IP to 192.168.1.201 [npt sure if i set right getaway] yet i couldnt see the machine. i did run machines scan - nothing.

yet on usual network i see it at 192.168.0.15 so there must be some exta reason why my station cant see this machine.

any ideas?

other thing is - its running on rasbpi. i can connect rasbpi to my windows - maybe there is way to change there default IP?
im doign this since 2h and still cant fix Sad

You could mount image in linux and change the IP.

if it's taken 2 hours so far i suggest changing router's to 192.168.1.* log into miner change it's ip to normal IP address for your network. Then you can change router back to normal. Should take less then 10 minutes or so to do.
