What would you guys consider would be the best asic machine to start mining with Smiley. i have about $1500 to work with.

Not a great time to start if you want to make money. If you just want to mine, get a really inexpensive setup.

If you have been following some other threads, the ANTMINER S3 is a good unit to start. You need the miner and the power supply. I think someone is selling them for $429.  Be sure you understand the heat and noise implications of the unit. These are apparently pretty good if you get a good PS.

For 1500, you could start with 2 for 1.32 BTC directly from Bitmain. Then a 1000 Watt power supply if you might want to overclock. See this thread

Be aware that each S3 puts out at least 340W of heat with a PSU, so 2 of them will warm up a room significantly if you don't have some airflow.  You need to open some windows or use AC unless you need the heat.

Or you could get a hosted S3 and try cloud mining. Somebody else will take care of the heat for you! Smiley

Dont mine now you will never have profit.

Instead buy bitcoins and trade or wait to see some rise in prices and sell them.
