www.thebitcoinmovement.com

Funded out of pocket - for the people - by the people.

Trying to help spread adoption through learning - site is new - trying to add a call center and pay some guys to take the time to teach people via phone as well - This tech for me represents freedom - and I will do everything I can to help spread it.

Please let us know your thoughts - lots of intelligent people out there who I am sure have some healthy criticism.

Thanks guys

Good luck with your project, I'm new but I'm excited by the potential of the cryptos in general.

it is always nice to see things made for the people by the people! that is a great idea to help spread the adoption. hopefully this profit free organization sticks to it and gets some people to sign up. always good to have more people using btc! might want to make youtube stuff and advertise on other forums that dont have anything to do with bitcoin.

This will surely help to increase the adoption, no worries if in the first period only few people will join.

Good luck, looks good:)

If you can add Spanish speakers to your call centre that would be amazing (also ES translations to the site). The SAm market is huge and best placed for adoption right now. Other langs Id suggest would be Arabic and maybe some indoAsians... some territories could really jump into BTC if they had some better info and access to buy points.

In my local area, people would respond a lot better to face to face info exchange than a website. I thought about printing a small leaflet and going around to hand them out (theres about 1000 small businesses in my area that would love to claim independence from the EU €uro - Im in Catalunya;p) and would probably adopt in a second if they knew more about it. Once I get some time/cash I'll be doing that for sure.

Anyway, it might be an idea also to have some things printed up on request so you can send them out to people if they so need. Info for businesses and consumers. Also if you need an English speaker for your call back service in EU time zone let me know Smiley Id volunteer some time for that!

You have my sword.

-The blockchain is the brilliant technological innovation, and the source of Bitcoin's intrinsic value.
-Bitcoin is merely the first app developed on this new protocol layer (blockchain). Think of it like HTTP.
-The blockchain is the birth of Internet 2.0 and Money 3.0
-Will make you insanely wealthy, if you want.
-Will change the way human beings think about money forever
-Is a pandora's box that has been opened and can never be closed.
-Even if bitcoin were to die (spoiler: it won't), crypto would live on in some form. Fiat's days are numbered.
-Could very well be the beginning of the end of perpetual fiat-fueled nation-state war.
-Will make your corrupt, useless piece of shit government and their artificially propped-up funny-money obsolete and worthless, in time.
-Represents the dawn of the true information age, the age of reason. As long as we don't have a nuclear apocalypse in the near future...

Just one thing I noticed: I would get rid of the Guy Fawkes mask if I were you. It's too much associated with organizations like anonymous. If we want Bitcoin to become mainstream we can't keep pushing it as the currency of criminals. There is a difference between freeing ourselves from government currency manipulation and freeing ourselves from respecting other people's property, and the latter is not something we should do.

ACCOUNT RECOVERED 4/27/2020. Account was previously hacked sometime in 2017. Posts between 12/31/2016 and 4/27/2020 are NOT LEGITIMATE.

+1
and im not so sure about the brand name "the bitcoin movement", sounds more like a a site for organizing cults, and other stuff like the occupy wall street. rather than a site for teaching average joe about a new payment system.

apart from that, i hope your concept helps the community.

once the branding is sorted, definetly link to non bitcoin forums, such as bloomburg and other fiat financial sites

You might want to be careful with that whole, "respecting other people's property" thing. Here's why.

It's too much associated with organizations like anonymous. If we want Bitcoin to become mainstream we can't keep pushing it as the currency of criminals.
Since when does being anonymous = being a criminal?

btcltcdigger -Thanks - site just launched late last night - Steve worked like crazy all night to hash this out so we have to update as we go (updated to our actual address in Barbados)

You guys also just gave us an epic amount of feed back which we will comb through and use to help the site.

In regards to the name of the site being related to a cult - Bitcoin represents a lot more than a currency to us..

We haven't even begun to explore what this technology will achieve. We will finally allow humanity the time to reflect on things which are much more important than money, the earth needs this. (Sorry if it sounds like a rant - We are just passionate about it)

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the world, and lose his own soul?

i respect that, its just the word 'movement' just seems culty. like the 'anonymous movement' give people the idea that its not about privacy, but about a group of people doing bad things and not wanting to be found.

maybe better words like... umm:
transition

or more like a word that describes the fact that your the cal centre of bitcoin learning/support:
bitcoin-support.com
