Coingen should put a limit on the block times and retargets, In this case The diff will get stuck on 500 for 2000+ blocks. And the dev wont have the knowledge to change the retarget to every block. So no exchange is going to list this, due to it will take 1 month to confirm deposits
Let me tell you a secret, coingen does that on purpose. You see, coingen was created by one of the oldest bitcoin supporters and exists solely to discredit altcoins. In the end, the buyer is left with a dead coin, and the miners have wasted time mining air. Everyone gets screwed – except the coingen operator of course. He makes a nice little profit on the whole ordeal. |

Can't even call it a scam coin cuz it has no exchanges for even the devs to dump or make money....

Difficulty Retarget Time: 168 hours enought said....... the guys who mine first mine a golden nose until diff adjustment kicks in thats far worse than premine any non diff re-targeting each block setup is flawed BTC know this but they global hashrate is so high and constant that this flaw isnt hurting them but for a small coins with mining hashrate fluctuations its a big design flaw |

He actually showed up in the IRC room yesterday which was kind of encouraging. Chipmadness put together a nice, clean simple website for the coin too. I think the next step is going to be figuring out how we can adjust the parameters of the coin so it actually works. That is not something I know where to start with personally. |
