Depends, which algo are you mining?

In general, the 6970 performs about 1.5x-2x(highly oc'd) better than a 6970.

My 6950 does 340-360 mh/s @ stock settings,I had a pair of 6970's,each did 450+mh/s @ stock settings, but they were the XFX squirrel (single) fan design & I hear that their a little bit better.

Look at this  Wink

I got a XFX 6970 which operated at about 475MH at Scrypt algo. Stopped mining because power costs were to high.. It drains a lot of watties...

I wouldn't buy a 6000 card right now. Should a series 7000 card kernel be released, you'll be left in the dust.

Go for used 280x's, they are being sold cheap on ebay and still have warranty and let me tell you, warranty comes handy as mining takes toll on cards.

Only if you can take bet on someone releasing this new kernel (if not, get VLIW). Half of it is already published but it is not known if we'll get to see the other half.
