Is this the bitshares X delegated proof of stake?

I am not very technological talented, but IIRC he said he had the idea from transparent forging , and transparent forging fully enabled would yield same/better results. So I would say we are atm behind DPOS but will overtake it after TF is fully intact Smiley

Is NXT's community confident in it ever becoming a legitimate currency, or do they view NXT as a companion to Bitcoin which adds benefits like the decentralized asset exchange?

The way I view it is, that NXT will be a "system" on which you will be able to do pretty much everything.
- Trade
- Send encrypted messages
- Exchange currencies
- Store Data
- sell goods/services/data
- issue currencies (even POW or currencies like FIAT)

So you see, I don't think NXT needs to be a "currency" to succeed. The monetary system ontop can be a currency though!

Well, as far as I know some entrepreneurs already gained confidence in Nxt and started their own businesses around it. So, yes NXTs are used as money.

Additionally, we have that decentralized asset exchange that will prevent Mt.Gox 2 AND starting at block 213,000 will have the Nxt Marketplace.

Musicians already announced that they will distribute their songs via the Nxt Marketplace.

Answer the question ?

Why?
Because most people have never heard about NXT. Or if they heard they still don't know much about the technology.

Wasn't there enough already?

No

@Spoetnik

As far as I can tell, BCNext created Nxt because he felt there was something missing. First, there was the believe that PoS is superior to PoW. TF proved that. With TF, we can do something that PoW will NEVER be able to achieve. However, Peercoins implementation of PoS also did not leverage the intrinsic advantage of PoS. Nxt should do that.

Furthermore, as it seems, other coins are not so flexible than Nxt and to adapt new ideas and features. I do not know why that is.

I think these are the two main reasons why.

Sorry to be blunt. I am a very friendly guy but I am not good when dealing with trolls.

Everyone who looks at your posting history can see the immense hate for NXT with ridiculous accusations and literally no technical knowledge of this coin.

I know you agenda, so I ask politely to leave this thread alone.

Come on, Spoetnik, join the dark side....
Seriously, though, is it about time to maybe grudgingly admit that possibly NXT might not actually be a scam ?

The NXT community, and there are a lot of us ( Wink ) have been working our skinny little asses off for the last 8 months to build NXT up to where it is now, and it's all starting to pay off.

Take a look at CoinmarketCap and see how many NXT Assets we have in the Top 50, look at the forums and see all the tech we have coming up, count the number of clones trying to grab just a little bit of the NXT magic.....NXT 2 da MOOOONNN!
