why on earth are they calling it "bits" and fucking with the decimal point?!

everyone knows the smallest unitis satoshi and they even seem to have missed that by x100?!

A bit is 100 satoshis, it's not that uncommon of a unit -- it's supported in blockchain.info, coinbase, bitpay etc. It's a bit confusing at first, but hey, I'm just skating where the puck is going.

That is totally weird and ugly.  I've never seen it blockchain.info.  Is that for real?  Someone actually thinks that calling a random subunit of bitcoin "bits" is a good idea?!
