I think it was slush in 2010.  Read up on the earliest post's in this thread.

I'm pretty sure it was Slush. And the original GUIMiner by Kiv pretty much shows his pool as the default in his original tutorial.

Compute4cash developed later part of 2010 if it could be called a pool.
One of the early ones for me but not earliest ( I think )

Started mining there early 2011 and paid thrugh Paypal. Closed when Paypal started giving them the
evil eye. Memory fails me so don't remember much more, using 3870's and CPU's + early modified GUIMiner?
Google and see what you can find.

Earliest pool software (I think) was puddinpop's pool software first introduced here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1458.0

First pool: doublec was running a pool in October 2010: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1458.msg17340#msg17340

(Edit: although I'm not at all sure that was a public pool. However the OP didn't ask for the first public pool, so this one is definitely the earliest of which I know).

I think it's safe to say that Slush's Pool is the oldest pool that's still around today. Didn't realize there were older pools though.
