Question regarding Hardware subforum

I was wondering, since now there is an FPGA subforum in this section, why not create
a GPU and CPU subforums as well? All mining systems except GPU have been moved to
FPGA subforum, while the GPUs still remain in Hardware section...

Don't GPUs belong in the "main" hardware subforum kinda by default?
GPUs are by far the most common devices used for mining.

You're right about the CPU mining subforum, except I'd put it in Trash rather than Hardware

Don't really see the point of subdividing it that way. I mean, for one, no one mines with CPUs anymore. The only reason FPGA got split off is because it was diluting the GPU threads.

I don't want to see any FPGA junk in this section.

Keep the GPU in main and FPGA in subsection for now ...

Whatever. For you FPGA makes sense.

For me ( and other people with low electricity ) this FPGA business is a total waste of time.

Only thing new it brings is low power costs NOT radical speed improvement like jump from CPU to GPU.

In summary, not everybody thinks it is the "next big thing" and not everybody needs to hear about it 24/7.

My time is valuable, and I can't waste time tinkering with unstable GPU rigs, and FPGA completely remove the reliability from the equation. Plug them in, turn them on, hash like a mother.

Rave all you want about FPGA reliability but AFAIK we have not seen what mining 24/7 for a year does to a FPGA ...

We have seen that GPUs can last a while ( fan failures suck ) but the 6 month warranty on the BFL is not inspiring anyone right now.

Maybe consider ZTEX with 2 year EU warranty but US folks have no other options etc.
