The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Sent a request, but a factory unlocked 5s is worth more than if it was still locked to AT&T, looks like they go for more like $550-600, especially cause this one still is under factory warranty. I will update with the status of the unlock though when I hear back. |

You can get them unlocked yourself pretty easily. You're right. There are plenty of unlocking services on eBay for around $30, or you can do it yourself. I've done it pretty easily to 3Gs's in the past. But I did submit an "official" request, so I will update when I hear back from AT&T. |

UPDATE: AT&T said they cannot provide me the unlock code yet, apparently time requirements are different for iPhones and this is not yet a year old. Anyway, I believe you could still use online unlocking services or do it yourself.
