I don't see it going further down. Looks like we've hit ottom. If you look back at the last "crash" from 1200, 500 seemed to hold. I'd say buy.

I agree that the volatility has increased a lot in the past few days and this is good for traders of bitcoin. This will also likely increase profits for exchanges who measure their profits in terms of BTC

What this is not good for is the long term adoption of bitcoin as it will make it more risky for people to buy and spend their bitcoin (they have a bigger exchange rate risk).

For the OP: I think we likely have some ways down to go from here. I would personally buy net more BTC if the price were to drop ~50% from today's levels, but I think the chances of it going that low are low. Over the long term the price of bitcoin will likely rise to levels well above our last bubble highs.

Some of the coins have drop more than 90% from the peak. If the past is any guide, it is now a good time to load up on coins with sound basis.

Anytime is a good time to buy bitcoins, as long as you hodl. But don't expect insane rises overnight. That phase is over, and if bitcoin were to go mainstream, it needs to stabilize, else it will not work as a currency, which is the initial purpose of the conception of Bitcoin. But many sees bitcoin as an investment and some even see it as stocks, buying and selling on a regular basis. If you're into that then no one can advice you, because no one can predict what's the price going to  be tomorrow. But if you're looking long term, say next year, then yes, it's time to buy now.
