Bitcoin is on another move down today. After opening the day at $535 on BTC-E, the crypto proceeded to fall to a low of $493 by mid-day. Few hours later bitcoin gave $500 another shot and this time a daily low of $491 was reached. But as the trading session was drawing to a close, BTC retraced back above the round $500 figure. We are currently trading at $507 on BTC-E. - See more at: http://www.forexnews.com/blog/2014/08/14/bitcoin-falls-8-prices-flash-crash-bitfinex/#sthash.hLyl4W4a.dpuf

Don't forget LTC, which is making new lows! I'm sure its just a flesh wound...

As for Bitcoin swinging 8 percent... so what? I've seen it do far more damage than that, and its still around. But no, that doesn't make for a good sensationalist headline, so the negative has to be accentuated.
