Like ropbat said you can buy a small amount off bittylicious which is a UK based exchange. Why don't you try buy off the forum here? Go look in the Currency Exchange subforum and there's plenty of people with many different payment options, but doubt bitcoin will go right down to £175 if that's what you're waiting for.

Most sellers on localbitcoins won't ask for ID and it is a quick and easy way to get your coins. Or as others have said, check the exchange forum on here.

You could Use localbitcoins and bittylicious to buy bitcoin easily.
For btc-e, I believe you don't need to do ID verification unless you are going to deposit fiat with wire transfer.
