Depends what you mean by invest.  There are sites called "exchanges" that you might be referring to.  You can go to a bitcoin exchange and deposit money there, and then buy and sell Bitcoin.

Well, you want to buy them in an exchange. It depends if you are from the USA or Euro. If you are from Euro, I recommend Bitcoin.de if you don't want to be forced to have your ID scanned and sent to them. They are pretty slow tho.
There is also Kraken but I never tried doing transactions on there. Bitstamp is the reference one but requires ID afaik.

You can buy bitcoin with fiat and get profit when the btc price goes up.
Or, you can invest your bitcoin in stocks or casinos to get more bitcoin.

In the U.S., the easiest way to buy bitcoins is through LocalBitcoins.com or Coinbase.com.

Coinbase will take a few days to set up, but in long run is better then localbitcoins.  (in my opinion)   For the ones who are worried about being not known they will turn to localbitcoins.

Investing in bitcoins means buying bitcoins, or buying mining specs.

You can use Paypal, western union or any other currency.

Just remember that cash is king.

Localbitcoins.com and with some sellers you can negotiate on the spot. I did it with one guy, stating we re-do the escrow once we see each other on the spot which he agreed.

I saved myself $100 mark up.

Buy Bitcoins at low rate[like currently] and sell them high. Or go for a miner. That's investment.

Investing in bitcoins means buying bitcoins, or buying mining specs.

Or you can invest in a casino or invest on havelock investments.

You can use Paypal, western union or any other currency.

Paypal is a bad choice indeed, as the bitcoin sell willer charge you a high fee to compensate for the chargeback risk.

Do you have any services that you could possibly offer that you would be willing to accept bitcoin for? Setting up a wallet and completing offers for people is one way to get bitcoins as many people out there are looking for workers who accept bitcoin. Failing that you can invest in bitcoins by using exchanges and such and buying bitcoins using different payment methods.

Don't mine, don't start a business, don't buy into altcoins; just buy bitcoins. You'll come out further ahead than you would by getting fancy.

There are many ways of investing in bitcoin. You can start mining with your own rigs or you can buy some bitcoin and hold it for better price.
