Send some to celebrities, all celebrities.
If celebrities painted themselves with their own faeces, it would be a world pastime by next week.

Maybe you should advertise it on YouTube, FaceBook and other social media sites.
The majority of your audience lays in front of you.

You just need to make it happen.

Start a rumor that using bitcoin makes breasts and penises grow. You won't be able to make them fast enough to match demand.

meaby the people that should addopt bitcoin in this phase are the ones that know something about pc or are kind of geeks.
I liked the idea of "celebrities". How about, those that are really famouse on youtube that has millions of suscriptors. They could help a lot if they make a mention in one of their videos.

The key is to get more national vendors (e.g., Starbucks, Wendy's, General Dollar) with physical locations to understand how Bitcoin can save them $ by reducing fees and eliminating charge backs.  They could offer their customers a small discount to use Bitcoin and/or integrate it with their apps

retailers need to start offering bitcoin-only transactions on some of their sales.. newegg's been doing that. if you want a PS4 for $320 ($80 below MSRP), then you're going to need bitcoins.

those retailers also should pay all of their employee bonuses in bitcoin as well.

In Argentina we are trying to start a new trend with meetups around the country, merchandising, stickers, etc...

it's slow, but our bitcoin community is growing, now we have 2 Subways, a few taxi drivers and a new movement for "bitcointips" for restaurants

for more ideas about bringing bitcoin to the mainstream please visit my thread and share what you think, to be mainstream is our next goal

1 example out of ... thousands of youtubers that are popular.
So now we know we dont need to reach fousey tube.
we... can start with the other 999 popular ones Smiley

I googled Wake Up Accept Bitcoin and the sign I made and displayed was on twitter (not my account)!

https://twitter.com/blockchain/status/476465165157007360  While this is not the mass public, it's Fuckin' awesome to me!

I think that large charity works for the faint hearted. But how about reality. Stage a commercial where every Visa holder in the WORLD wakes up with a $1000 erroneous charge on the card and begins asking for a refund. Busy phonelines, clogged up bandwidth, Illustrate how management would be begging to the board about integrity of the ecosystem, and the only ended..."it's not our problem. It doesn't say in God we Trust on our credit cards, didn't you read the terms and conditions? I didn't think so."

First of all, who is going to pay for this kind of thing? There is no CEO of bitcoin, there is no entity that backs bitcoin or that is responsible for it's performance. As a result no one is going to want to pay for this because their benefits would not be proportionate to what they spend.

What really needs to happen is a greater amount of bitcoin related trade, not trade on exchanges, but trade as in economical trade. People need to trade their bitcoin for goods and services from merchants or people you buy things from. The more that bitcoin is used, the more people that will be exposed to it and exposed to it's benefits.

A fully self-funded mockumentary entitled OBAM (Operation Bitcoin Awareness Movement).

Three dudes (white, A-A, and a Hindu) and a blonde dudette travel the countryside (eventually world) try to convince diverse prospects to accept bitcoins (and/or other cryptocurrency) for their various products and services.

Along the way they hold court with prostitutes, politicians, clergy, gang members, boys and girl scouts, old folks in homes, cops to see if they would accept bribes via bitcoins, Amish, newborn fresh from the womb,... You get the picture.

Some of the content can be scripted, some not. Viewers can send in suggestions, or may have a relative/friend that they desire to convert, needing the team to help in this effort.

The more skill sets the four have, the better the show. Think Bubbles playing Rush on guitar.

I did say self-funded, thus introducing OBAM Coin. And, the four star's character's names start with one of the letters, viz. Oliver, Betty, Ahman and Mondo.

God damn Bruno!  912 posts since June 28 of this year! How do you find the time? Do you post while you're shitting and eating?

On Topic: Yes, I think that's a very good idea. Especially Rush on guitar.
