Howling for the next years seems to be the easiest solution to increase the value of my btc holdings.

Looking at the charts maybe it's better to sell now and wait for cheaper prices to buy back.

Poor newbie, a typo and all the answers (except one, I think) are mocking you.
I wouldn't buy now. Wait until a reversal of this bearish trend.

This topic is for fun,to create a new meme. I was buying around 480-500$ range and now the price is at 523$ (bitstamp). Some people just takes this to much serious.

Is it best to buy now and howl until the price goes up?
Buy and hold have work well for bitcoin in the last 4-5 years. Until this changes, people will continue to add position and hold.

But in your place I would take this very seriously. Many people are losing what they can not afford to lose in bitcoin. And I'm might be wrong, but I'm expecting to see more losers in the near future. Watch out the 490.

the thing about the "don't invest what you cannot afford to lose" mantra is that i don't think people really take it to heart. they think, "bitcoin can't go under 400, or 266." they don't psychologically prepare themselves for much, much worse. i get a strong feeling that many people who say "0 or 1 million" really are not at all psychologically prepared for 0.

Yes, it's like the smoker saying "I don't care if I die, I prefer to live as I want".
Of course, when the doctor tells them they have non-operable lung cancer, they cry like babies: "What have I done to deserve this!?"

Looking at the price swings in the last couple of months, more people will get mentally prepared for 0 as well.

Get ready to howl on $350, then $300, and may be even $2XX. In bitcoin any time is good time to buy and howl Just don't forget to put it in cold storage somewhere overseas and then wait... And howl...

I can personally promise you the price will never drop below $10. My group will own every single BTC in existance and use it for our purposes.
