Coinmarketcap use to update all the time(or it seemed that way).  Now coindesk updates so quick and Coinmarketcap... not so much.

Are they using the same exchanges to find the price?  It seems they are always a tad different.

They are using usially time up upgrade of prices, coindesk better in price and news plan, in my opinion.

I didn't know about this, can you give the link?
it's awesome how complete coindesk is trying to be.
They also added a public opinion track, a curious tool

CoinMarketCap is what I've had as my homepage for quite a while now!

There can be no doubt its the market leader but what I've noticed recently is a whole bunch of copycat sites like Price-genericcryptoname.com offering no new or exclusive features....

Does anyone know where coinmarketcap gets their Bitcoin price data from? I know Coindesk uses the Bitcoin Price Index which is an average from the major exchanges but I often see pretty large discrepancies between the two sites.
