What is Virtex?

Virtex is an online cryptocurrency exchange that was opened on July 23, 2014. It offers its users to tradeBTC and LTC to USD and EUR. Virtex is mainly run by three entrepreneurs: Paulius Meskauskas (CEO),Mantas Gustys (CRO) and Tomas Andzelis (CMO). Besides them there are over 20 people from various fields like marketing; development; design etc. directly involved with this project.

What is your name and position at Virtex?

My name is Mantas Gustys and I am the Chief Relations Officer.

Where is Virtex located?

Viretx Systems Ltd was incorporated in Seychelles, but the operations center is based in the beautiful city center of Kaunas, Lithuania.

What sets Virtex apart from your competitors?

The main advantage of Virtex is our vast selection of various payment options that enable our users toenter and exit the market in the most convenient way. Currently we offer 6 different payment options including AstroPay, Perfect Money, international wire transfer and more. On top of that we aimed to create a trading environment that is intuitive, comfortable and user-friendly. Evaluating by the feedback we received so far we believe that those points have been met, but that does not stop us from trying to improve them even further.

Is there are way to get in touch with this Mantas Gustys person?

Virtex.com has not processed my withdrawal requests and I have both fiat currency and bitcoins stuck in their exchange. They are keeping my deposits hostage and are not answering support emails, nor have they paid out anything so far.

Virtex.com Chart is FAKE,it manipulated by Scammer,name is TADAS KASPUTIS,he also the owner of EGOPAY,

All information that was sent here are very correct, I have made exchange for these group hoping they where legit and also helped transfer Tadas Kasputis money and I also have a copy of his passport in my email and am ready to upload it to this forum if talkgold admin will permit it, these guys are pro of scam, They even fraud me too with my investment with them. They are all kids, they close the megalido becuase they where targeting the payment processor which happened to be RegalScam, they also combined to close Altergold, Altergold was not shot down intentional from my investigation, they worked with the admin and was frauding the company, becuase they where working as programmers in Altegold, Poor altegold close down becuase of these fraudstars. I have been following this case for a while, this RegalScam is just less than 6 months old nothing more. Tadas is from LITHUANIA,

All should ask talkgold to let me upload the passport here and their bank statements. Please stay clear of this RegalScam or you will cry. On my next post, I have decided to creat a new email account upload the passport and bank statement there, I will come back if they continue to argue and paste the username ans password so the whole forum can see it.

Strange, very very strange indeed....

I just looked at Virtex.com exactly 60 seconds ago, and the site claims the following
24 Hour volume: ฿485.77618050

At the same time, also 60 seconds ago, I reloaded this page
http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/virtex/
which gives a total 24 Hour volume of: $ 17,031 (= 87 BTC)

This is a HUGE discrepancy: A difference of almost 600%.

Can owner Tadas Kasputis or CEO Mantas Gustys please explain what is going on here?

Or should we simply conclude that this is yet one more example of criminal, fraudulent website-programming designed to mislead customers like myself in order to steal money as part of a scam?

They got me to and will not allow any withdrawals.  It is criminal.

Has anyone else had any luck getting their coins back?  Or know how to contact them?

What can the community do to stop this from happening to others?

Not enough, unfortunately.
Bitcoin-24, Mtgox both had been popular with top volume and succeeded to withdraw until some time.

Both egopay.com and virtex.com are now down (and probably gone forever)

If anyone has more info on the crooks behind these two sites, CEO Mantas Gustys and founder Tadas Kasputis, please post here or contact via PM. We are working on getting law enforcement to pursue the matter since they have so far not contacted any of their users with a proposal to pay us back what they stole.

The heist has already been reported to the FBI by longtime user bitboy11.
