Hi,
I have heard of people getting a reputation with OTC or something.Thing is how can good customers like myself get added on there? As I've had successfully trades with moredropbox with his service and gbr for his graphics design work for my film poster.

Also if OTC isn't the proper name for this, what is the proper name for that system? I think we should focus on mentioning good people as much as we do exposing scammers on here as it'll boost confidence when people like me don't know who to trade with.

Any info will be helpful.

Perhaps I assume to much.

OTC refers to a channel on freenode irc servers known as #bitcoin-otc. There is a bot there named Gribble. Once you have gpg you can authenticate with the bot so others will know that you are the <nick> you represent yourself to be.

So first: Get on Freenode IRC servers, then /j #bitcoin-otc

Follow the wiki previously provided to authenticate with gribble the bot. The wiki is very well written and if you 'read' and follow the instructions, you should be able to get through it. Some help may be provided by others once there.

Best Regards.

Thanks for that.It looks complicated but it seems to be the only way to add rep.I've heard of heatwave or another rep system that has a similar name (I forget the exact name. What is the proper name for it?)

third party rating systems are fine as well, but gpg seems to be the most favored in this forum.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

There's also a thread on here that if you've had a successful transaction, you post about it. Of course this is not a very organized way to do it, but it's an alternative method to this OTC you're talking about.

Thanks for that helpful suggestion. Can you link me to this thread so I can add my successful transaction with gbr (gfx designer)

Oh now that makes sense. That information should be added to the beginning of the wiki

Yeah here you go. Post in here whether you're the buyer or seller, so that way you can have references in the future if you want to buy or sell anything with future buyers/sellers.

edit: oops I just realized someone already posted this link.
