No they fucking aren't, stop overreacting, still no Bitcoin payment option on my end, they recently announced they're setting it up so they won't get everything done that fast.

How much is the shipping?

If I order something price in btc, and the item required custom tax, what price will they put on the invoice?

September 1st the articles are saying, IMO that is pretty fast.

Yeah, definitely but still I'm tired of people overreacting at the slightest thing happening, I can't wait either, I'm looking forward to DriveShare, doesn't mean I'm going to get people's hopes up and spread fud about it though not until I see definite proof of something happening.

Also, fuck Amazon, they had their chance Tongue

They've even been annoying me lately even with conventional shopping with their stupid add-on items system, I wanted to buy a sodding mouse and was happy to pay postage because you can never get anything you actually want where I live beyond food and I discover that they've made tons of cheap items add-ons to other items forcing you to buy the items with it if you want that particular item. Now I very rarely shop at Amazon and I'm probably going to end up going to scan.co.uk or something if I want anything computer related, postage is a bit steep but I can at least still get things I actually want from there.

I should probably try out overstock one of these days, now that they accept BTC.

That's some good news, can't wait for it to go live!

With the amount of big news that has hit btc lately, I can see this turning into a chain reaction for every other online company out there. It's really getting me excited about the btc price in late 2014 and 2015.

Overstock (US) -> EU = Purchase price + (high) shipping costs + import VAT + customs tax, .. so what's the competitive edge?

So does Overstock have stores/sites or warehouses in different countries or will all the items still be dispatched from the US. Like others have said, after shipping and taxes you'll probably be missing out. Paying import taxes are pretty hefty in the UK so I wouldnt like to risk it.

It's good news, but Overstock are still no Amazon that's for sure, though I really like Overstock's CEO.
