I am not sure about this, it seems fishy. Are you open to a VERY reputable escrow holding onto the oranges?

Sure of course, I have contacted some user called "satoshi" (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3), apparently he can be trusted. I'm yet to receive a response and it seems he hasn't been online for a little while. Any ideas?

I asked Tomatocage but the only fruit he escrows is tomatoes (I should have guess that).  I am not sure this loan will work.  I don't think 2 boxes of oranges is reasonable.  Besides, giving away lots of stuff makes me automatically legit, doesn't it? Cheesy

Oops, he missed out on taking a mandarin or two as a fee for his work, his loss!

How about 7 boxes of top notch Gala Apples? Since they're red, tomatocage might turn a blind eye and accept them?

Sure does, people need to have so much trust in you when you give away free money Wink

I see no reason on why not Wink. Giving away 1 BTC and requesting a 0.5 BTC loan 3 hours later wouldn't be very profitable for a scammer would it =p.

marco has a point...  A long continuing pattern of giveaways doesn't prove trust, it could hint at other things.

If trust is such an issue, he shouldn't provide a no collateral loan service. No one should be trusted. I'm just saying that it's not very logical to first give away 1 btc and request a 0.5 BTC loan 3 hours later if you were to scam someone. It'd make more sense if you requested a 2 BTC loan for example.

Mandarin oranges sounds like good collateral, they are very healthy and delicious. Are these mandarin oranges grade O oranges?

Looking to borrow .2 btc for two weeks. Might be able to provide some collateral if you need it. What kind of interest rate would you be looking for on a loan like this?
