Hi all,

Does anyone know where you can buy "longer" PCIe 1x-16x or 16x-16x cables?  All the ones I can find on ebay / cablesrus are only about 20 cm long.  I'm looking for something about 40 cm.

I remember reading a post a while ago where a forum member had some longer ones for sale.  I've spent the last hour searching forums on here and can't seem to find it.  Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

thanks,
Sigg.

I saw some rig pics where 2 shorter ones were plugged together, the owner said it worked.

I don't remember the thread.

They are stupid expensive but I found this:

http://www.risercards.ca/pcie-flexible-extenders/pci-express-x16-flexible-riser-card-1-to-15-inches/

bound to be a cheaper source somewhere(China)

I just got a dedicated mining rig not too long ago, and I wanted to space out the cards by stacking 2 cables on each other. One slot worked, while the other slot didn't work, so I think it's either a hit or miss kind of thing.

Connect an oscilloscope and take a deeper look at the signals.
Each connector potentially reflects the signal. So crimping them as long as you need might be a good approach, keep wave length in mind.

The paining (sic!) is done with the QPainter class inside the paintEvent() method.

I'm assuming that you're referring to the ones that I've been selling because no one else had them and they could not be bought any any other stores. Only a few left, and I will not be making more:
