I personally know about 20 workers at the Sandwich Walmart (really in Plano, IL), and they've all been there for several years. One guy I know was dropped on his head when he was a baby, thus impaired all his life, yet he functions pretty well as a greeter and cart go-getter. Another girl is on vacation getting her hair-lip (not looking up a better word) rectified. She's a Pentecostal, and I've always imagined her speaking in tongues with her... Nevermind! I'm not posting this to make fun of them or Jon. Just wanted to put the Walmart thing in perspective.

There's some entertaining ideas that come from this.

 -Matthew=Atlas, but that's boring and overdone.

 -Matthew took the 4 days to visit, and afterwards they had a shotgun wedding.  They separated the next morning, no idea why but it may have something to do with the horses head in the bed... Atlas can't bear to be around Matthew anymore. 

 -Once Matthew was gone, Atlas got lonely and went to Bruce for attention. Currently in Pattaya with Bruce for a "conference".

 -He is in jail for stealing from his mom, and losing it all on Bitcoinica.
 
 -It's a Fight Club scenario, where Matthew really is Atlas, created by his psyche to get Atlas to do something besides post on how forums how awesome he is.

I'd like to say I would never in my wildest dreams troll myself, but my work ethic shows otherwise.

I offer an alternative theory: Atlas is a self-important delusional retard who finally became what we all knew he eventually would-- a slave to the system he pretends he is above, and being a slave takes away your time and energy for defending yourself. It will only go down from here when he gets into drugs and hangs out with Loganschrye on break.

Quite the opposite. I recently switched back to a mindless job. Sure, it's a lot less money, but also a lot less stress. The stress relief was something like a dopamine flood that briefly caused some hallucinations. I sell my physical locality on a limited term basis, but my mind is free to develop my thoughts. For a writer, manual labor is meditation. It sounds like Atlas has a pretty good job for a dreamer kid. Not everyone can be a Zhou Tong, but I don't envy Type A personalities anyway.
