I sent the mail next day

Still, it doesn't matter much. Bitcoin transaction mimic tangible transactions. So they are as reversible as cash or gold, the pool can't reverse the transaction and correct the address, the coins were already gone the moment they sent them.

Also, as with the delivery analogy, it's impossible for you to prove that address isn't yours. You can prove it is yours, but not the other way round.

If MyBitcoin weren't a scam, maybe you would be able to retrieve them by asking the service provider, alas he's long gone with your money... I also have accidentally sent to my old mybitcoin address.

No it is not.  Several months ago he accidently send some coins to his old mybitcoin address.  It is a perfectly valid address.  The coins are gone.  Mybitcoin has them now.  What I do not understand is why, after several months, he is bringing it up now.  It was months ago.  The coins are gone.  Nothing more to say.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear about this.

Use your own client and BACK UP old wallets, even if you don't think you'll be getting anything at it. You may open it in a few months to find you're a millionaire. Or maybe just that you have a few mBTC in it Cheesy
