as the title says, what is the best altcoin to mine?
i am a first time miner, and need advice, i currently have Quadcore CPU and 6450 ATI VC, i dont know if that will be enough to mine coins. i am not currently thinking of profit this time, i just want to practice and learn and lastly to make profit Grin

To practice try Quark on CPU or GPU you may get blocks .

Also try Myriad also if you want a challenge there is a new Crypto called cryptonite that uses a mini blockchain

Search the names in the announce section.

why ? i don't know think about it and come to your own conclusion..

You can try mining cryptonotes, e.g. Monero. For this I'd recommend Minergate, they have nice GIU miner where you can easily choose which coin you want to mine, super-easy setup for a beginner.
