While it would be a good idea for quick user identification, it could also become very annoying with certain animated avatars
If we are going to have them I think they should be locked to .jpg .png .bmp to prevent any malicious "avatars" being uploaded

I believe they were limited and restricted to jpgs at one point but a few gif avatars still remain on the forum. I'm sure gifs won't be allowed with the new software.

+1. I totally agree with you. Security is more important. But they can implement Gravatar or some default avatar in profile picture and we can select the one we want. It will be more secure. If they want, Theymos can make a thread asking to post the images they want to see on the collection and he can upload good ones to the collection after checking it. ~~MZ~~ |
