Most of the time it is mining or buying btc directly.

You can sell goods or services aswell.

There are a few ways to earn bitcoin to be honest, it really depends on which you choose to take on. Offering services that you can fulfill and stating you wish to be paid via bitcoin, selling stuff for bitcoins, investing into bitcoin are just a few ways you could get bitcoins.

If you have any services to offer this could be a good start. Are you good with something? Let's say that you're good at writing essays, maybe article writing is for you.

I haven't had much luck  with mining. I tried websites such as BitVisitor, but they don't work. How to people use businesses to earn bitcoin?

You can sell products (anything from clothing to accessories to electronics) in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0 for bitcoin.
You can sell digital goods (anything from accounts to game currencies to domain) in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0.
You can sell services (anything from programming to translating to advertising) in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0.

If you simply want to get bitcoin that is worth a few cents, collecting dusts from faucets may be a viable way.
But if you want to get some significant amount of bitcoin, it is better to sell services or join a sig campaign to earn bitcoin.

I would suggest start up a little by investing but not much which you can't afford, you may start up by buying $50 worth of btc and daytrading maybe or just holding it till the price goes up,trust me BTC could make you a decent profit within a day.The rates are so much fluctuating, just in a matter of seconds

The problem is that newbies are not allowed in most signature campaigns.  I agree they are a great option, but most limit enrollment and are already full.  Given how abused they are, I would not be surprised to see them gone soon.

Anyway, you used to be able to get a bit from faucets and games and rounds in the gambling section, but those happy days seem mostly gone.

I just don't think there is a good way any more other than buying a bit unless you want the microscopic amounts that sites like freebitco.in give out.  However, be careful, those small transactions cause problems later when you want to spend them.

I'm sorry.

BitVisitor or other sites paying for views are good option only when you want to waste whole year of clicking next and earn literally nothing. Don't bother with them, ever. I testes couple of them and they are just almost scam with the amount of btc they are offering .

try to visit some of the faucet that gives free bitcoin, There are several options faucet, among other things there that provide every 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc. you should be able to choose a faucet that is best for you

while the other option is by attempting to invest your money in bitcoin, example : you can invest it at PBmining.com or CEX.IO, but you must have enough capital to invest there. Hopefully you can earn a lot of bitcoin as soon as possible.

Buy it from an exchange.  That's a pretty easy way to get it.

Start with faucets and earning sites. If you promote them you'll get more bitcoins. If you want to get serious then offer your services for bitcoins or invest your money directly to profiable coins.

Well, it's a currency much like every other one, you just can't get hold of some money by visiting some websites. Why not put a little regular (FIAT) money in it and buy some BTC on an exchange or from someone on localbitcoins? Smiley
