Hold? I don't think you can claim the faucet on PD when you have a positive account balance.
Also, isn't the faucet starts at 500 sat a minute for level 1?

Yup, you'd have to hit a crazy multiplyier in order to be able to withdraw. Stunna gets the faucet rewards higher only during happy hour but that doesn't happen all tha ften.

Unfortunately there is no easy way out when it comes to obtaining Bitcoin, just like there is no easy way out to obtain FIAT, unless you are friends with Ben Bernakle.

Well, you can try faucets, a sig. campaign, or try selling services online.

I have some nice faucet links (with my ref) in my signature. If you want to be mean, here are direct links to faucets. No ref link.

freebitco.in
primedice.com

For convenience here's my links:

/JEI94H]freebitco.in
primedice.com

I haven't had much luck  with mining. I tried websites such as BitVisitor, but they don't work. How to people use businesses to earn bitcoin?

Scratch mining off the list. Leave that to the big boys. For the casual/retail newbies like me and you, it's best to just buy and/or trade to hedge, if you feel you can. To get started, I'd look into selling some goods and services in exchange for bitcoin. Bitvisitor, faucets, etc -- that's all crap.

Easiest way is to get a job.
If you are in a developed country, getting a minimum wage job should enable you to get 1 BTC in a few weeks.

Hi, try signature campaign, here's overview https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

or sell some of your stuff.
I also think that signature campaign is a good option for making some BTC. But is there any signature campaign for newbie rank?

register an account on Coinworker and start completing Crowdflower tasks
As soon as you reach 180 points , you can withdraw.

I've earned many bitcoins using Coinworker and they pay way better than all the faucets together.

Only negative thing is that there aren't always enough well paying tasks, it depends of the country you're living in.

If you clicked that link, you should know that you can join the Bitin.io sig campaign to get 0.00004 btc per post as a newbie.

The best strategy is to repeat what you did to get your first bitcoin, as that way has been proven to be working. Wink

By the look of some lending threads most newbies think they can get there 1st bitcoins by taking out a loan.
Don't try this if your a newbie because no matter how many try no newbies gets a loan and you might be hit with bad rep by some members.

This might have been mentioned but look at my signature and look for cryptocointrade. It gives you free 5khash mining for 10 days then you get to keep the free coins and you can trade them for more hashing power. The nice thing about this site is that you can buy via paypal. And also you can trade your hashing power. You can buy Sha256(bitcoin, namecoin etc), scrypt(litecoin doge etc) and x11 (drk uro etc) so you have alot of options there. So far this is the best i have discovered they are in beta but do respond back to all the bugs. Other option is a more trusted site like cex also in my signature but the dont accept credit cards. Last signature is from gawminers you can buy miners starting at 1mhs for scrypt or buy hardware directly from them. They have something known as hashlets which you can buy for different pools and range form 15bucks to 23 bucks. Zenpool is the best hashlet right now but you can buy others too and they accept credit cards also.

True. No one will send his bitcoin to a random new user asking for loan.
Unless you are an established bitcointalk user or can offer good collateral (for example, 110% LTC), the chance for you to get a loan is very close to 0.
