I am new here in the forum but have been around a long time mining and lurking as you call it (I'm just not really the social gregarious type)
I have an oddball 5870 here that was given to me because they replaced the fan and had a bit of a problem.(yeah, go ahead, you can think I did it,lol)
The fan shroud/heatsink housing is loose because it was rubbing but it works "as is" perfectly as I tossed it into this computer I am posting this from and its mining at 950/300 @ 61C = 425Mh/s and has worked flawlessly the past couple weeks.
It would be easy to fix it I suppose,
BUT, I don't do single GPU's generally so I'd like to sell it AS IS for any reasonable offer as a way of interacting with the community.

I would prefer BTC and I'm not greedy.

I will pay the shipping.
Oh, the trust issue, I am open to suggestions on however you would like to handle that.

I will monitor this until midnight tonight EST and will ship it first thing in the morning to the highest offer or not if no one is interested.
And I won't be offended at all if no one wants it.

I'll offer 15BTC as your description of it makes it sound as a take your chances type of deal, shipping would be to Canada not sure where you are located but would probably pay some of the shipping as well. We could go with escrow service or you put up auction on Bitmit with the escrow option enabled to achieve the same result.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the card or fan/heatsink it just wasn't installed correctly as far as I can tell and is running cool as it is, but your concerns are valid.

What part of Canada?
I am in Connecticut right now.

I'm in Nova Scotia so fairly close to you I would want the shipping via the USPS Priority Mail International hopefully marked as gift value under $25 on the declaration form. I was thinking I would do 3 BTC on the cost of the shipping.

Well I just got a very loud visit from the guy who gave me this card who was very offended that I am selling it!
(I told him to read this forum to learn about BTC and he came upon my post here)
So I gave him his card back and now must apologize for wasting everyone's time.
Shit!
