Afternoon guys/gals

New article on bitcoin and the history of money and how it has impacted all of us.
Some positive and realistic views on the underlying issues with wealth and how bitcoin will solve some of these problems.

http://thebitcoinmovement.com/money-will-bitcoin-make-wealthy/

If you have a moment go take a peek - may put a few things in perspective for you.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the world, and lose his own soul?

Bitcoin will grow in value. Depending on how much Bitcoin you own, you'll become wealthy. It's a new currency, so it'll take time to establish itself, but once it does, it'll be the one-world currency.

Due to an article that BitcoinTalk didn't like that I wrote on CCN, my account is banned. Theymos refuses to reply to my request for hearing his side of the story instead of banning my account. Please sign my petition to get Theymos to unban my account. Thank you.

Not a bad article, your page has a nice design too! Smiley But here's a tip, the title of this forum post made me think that you're just a newbie asking a question. I ended up clicking it but it wasn't what I expected. No problem with that but it'd be better if for example the title fas something like Article:Will bitcoin make me wealthy? What is money?

I doubt any currency will ever be a one world currency but it has the potential to be a widespread currency and possibly even a reserve currency.

There are advantages of using only one currency worldwide. The issue of new Bitcoins is decentralized so no one can complain the power is in hand of one country only like today with USD, but Im not sure if it will be possible to use Bitcoin or other decentralized cryptocurrency for the amount transactions required. The blockchain will be very huge (and just splitting to several cryptocoins have zero advantages - the combined size of blockchains would be the same and you will loose the advantage of one only worldwide currency, compatibility, ease of use)

There are advantages of a one world currency of course, but it doesn't protect local businesses and trade in the same way single currencies do due to complexity issues, which are designed to protect industries just like tariffs.

Governments will try to prevent it. This is the issue.

It won't be the one-world currency. I can see Bitcoin being a reserve currency, possibly the global reserve currency. But I doubt it will be the only accepted currency.

It does, however, depend on the amount of Bitcoin you own. If you own enough, you can become very wealthy. Just like if you have 100 ounces of silver, and the price goes up $0.01, you just earned $1. Goes up $1, and you earned $100, goes up by $10, that's another $1000, etc.

Bitcoin has a greater potential to make people wealthy as opposed to precious metals, since the volatility is quite high.

It is really easy to indulge in the get rich aspect of crypto since to be honest, most people are genuinely interested in themselves.
the answer is YES, as most of you educated crypto users pointed out - but if we take the focus off getting rich quick and help build ourselves into protecting and encouraging this eco system, the get rich part will fall into place naturally as opposed to forced.

Bitcoin wasn't invented so people can get rich. I will be surprise if some of the core developers in the early days still have their wallet and manage to cash out their bitcoin.

Now that everyone who want to get rich already invested in it, who else is left to buy bitcoin and pump it higher?

The mainstream investors have not even started to put money in as yet... but like you said, it is a lot more than just a simple get rich quick idea.. It holds a great deal of value for the world - the currency is just one application of this technology

If you want to become rich, go try out real estate. But if you want to buy something without anyone ever knowing about it then come to bitcoin. Cool Cool

Bitcoin is no longer a new currency anymore,Just buying a singl bitcoin wouldn't make you wealthy soon enough.Bitcoin was sometime $3-5 and now its $500+ and even had reached more than $1k once.It depends upon the market demand.

Investing in bitcoin (once you get in before the 3rd quarter of 2016) will be profitable.
Investing in bitcoin businesses which offer services that work on-top the new technology will be profitable.
Investing in bitcoin businesses which offer services that better humanity while eliminating legacy systems will be profitable.

Nice share, thanks.

I do think bitcoin has potential to make rich, its just like stock market with little less variablity. However if studied well, btc can yield greater profits.

Wage-slavery sucks, we all know, we all share your pain. The misery of your daily work life is why everyone wants to be rich.

Remember that it is capitalism that has made you feel this way, this resentment, this anger, this desperation and envy. Remember that you have owners, the owner of your company, who profits daily from the fruit of your labor.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

Cry People buying your time at wholesale and selling it at retail, the very premise of money holding so much esteem in the world to the point where it is on a pedestal with happiness and love is a painful reminder of how fucked up we are... Emotional damage runs rampant in the world and no one is taught about it... Keep us ignorant and give us a carrot and we will march to the beat of the drum.

You may have missed the 5 cent BTC boat, but believe me when I tell you this is still early in the world of crypto...  the (dot.com billionaires) did not happen immediately when the internet came about.. It happened later on when people starting recognizing the potential..
